I should! I've seen probably half to two-thirds of David Tennant's run, and none at all of Christopher Eccleston's. And then I've seen two Tom Baker serials, randomly. I don't think he pretends that nothing happened before, though. I mean, the continuity is largely independent, but there are nods. Like in "Let's Kill Hitler," when the TARDIS tries bringing up old companions as interface holographs, or in the S6 finale when Eleven tries to phone the Brigadier and finds out he's died.
Yeah, music isn't a thing Daleks are into.
I think a lot of it was the experience, which I've largely missed now. Ah, well, what can you do?
