meme and miscellaneous

I'm not sure if LJ cuts are working properly yet, so I won't say anything spoilery about "The God Complex."  I will say that it broke my heart a little bit, but I loved it a bunch and it was an excellent episode.

I've been back at school for about two weeks now.  (If I disappear suddenly, I've probably been devoured by homework or some such.)  I'm living in my first apartment, and it's pretty great, albeit stressful in the grownup ways of having to clean and maintain things.  I like my classes so far, especially my number theory class--best math ever.  And I have, perhaps unwisely, agreed to do mildy coding-related things to help the tutoring center keep in touch with the academic departments.  (I work for the tutoring center, so despite the fact that I'm a creative writing major and have no experience coding, this is not entirely as random as it seems.  Plus, one of the CS professors said he could help me get the scripts in Python.)

And now, on to the meme!  Ganked from [livejournal.com profile] plaid_slytherin:

The problem with LJ: we all think we are so close, but really, we know nothing about each other. So I want you to ask me something you think you should know about me. Something that should be obvious, but you have no idea about. Ask away.

Then post this in your LJ and find out what people don't know about you.

Oh, yay, they're fixed! I wasn't sure, because the rich text editor seemed to be working, but it was still eating stuff if I typed it into html and then tried to switch to rich text. Although that was when I was editing a post that was made during the time when the text editor was broken, so maybe there was some residual bad code in that post, or something.

Thank you! It would be more awesome if we didn't keep finding roaches in the kitchen, but hey, you can't have everything. :P

My favorite way to relax is probably faffing about on the computer. LJ, reading blogs, playing with Photoshop, etc. My second favorite color...hmm...maybe purple? And I live in the Midwestern US--rural Illinois during the school year, and Chicago when I'm at home.

Whoa! You live surprisingly close to me. I live in Madison, Wisconsin. I've been to Chicago several times. Do you plan on going to Chicago TARDIS?

I'm thinking about Chicago TARDIS. One of my friends at home is also a big Who fan, and we're trying to figure out if the logistics would work. CT is actually held in a suburb called Lombard, and we're not sure how we'd get there...maybe the Metra. Are you planning to go?

I'm not sure. I probably won't go, because it'd be tough arranging a way to get there and money and stuff. So yeah. *shrugs*
